Igniting Unlimited Possibilities

Congratulations to our September 2025 Rock Stars of the Month!

Posted Date: 11/13/25 (04:17 AM)

We are thrilled to share that our Rock Stars of the Month program is back! This initiative was created to shine a light on our incredible employees who go above and beyond each day to make a difference in the lives of our students, families, and colleagues.

Please join us congratulating our September 2025 Rock Stars of the Month!

Classified Rock Star of the Month: Chantelle Gonzalez, Instructional Aide, Special Education, Weaver Elementary

What nominators had to say about Chantelle:

“Chantelle truly embodies what it means to be a rockstar!  Not only is she an instrumental part of our successful SDC TK/K class, but she has stepped in to cover one of our neediest students who has begun thriving under her care.  In addition, Chantelle has gone above and beyond to provide innovative practices to the classroom, especially those centered for students with behavioral needs.  She has twice submitted successful LAEF grants that added essential sensory and emotional supports for the students in the class.  Her initiative has been a model for other IAs who see how they can make subtle yet impactful contributions to her students as well as to the campus as a whole.”

Certificated Rock Star of the Month: Jessica Catania, District Nurse

What nominators had to say about Jessica:

“Jessica is one of the most dedicated and compassionate nurses I’ve ever worked with. She leads by example—always calm under pressure, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to the well-being of every student, staff member, and family she serves. What truly sets her apart is her unwavering support—not only for fellow nurses, but also for the parents in our community. She communicates with empathy, provides guidance with patience, and helps families navigate health concerns with clarity and care. Whether it’s managing a student’s chronic condition, answering a worried parent’s call, or coordinating care with staff, she does it all with professionalism and heart. Our district is truly better, stronger, and healthier because of her.”
